St Dominic's is a vibrant and devoted community of Christ's faithful located in the inner west of Sydney comprising the suburbs of Homebush West and West Strathfield as well as the huge Flemington Markets.

Holy Week and Easter program

Stations of the Cross:

7:30pm every Friday through Lent.

 

Palm Sunday

 

The Procession with solemn blessing of palms will take place at the morning Mass on Sunday. Other Masses will have the simple blessing during Mass. Please remember that the blessing palm is a sacramental of the Church and is meant to be taken home and given a place of honour within each Catholic home to bring a blessing on the family for the coming year.

 

Holy Thursday

 

There will be no morning Mass.

The evening Mass of the Lord's Supper will begin at 7:30 p.m. The washing of feet will take place during the ceremony.

 

Good Friday

 

Solemn Stations of the Cross will be held at 10:30 a.m.

Solemn Commemoration of the Lord's Passion will occur at 3:00 p.m. There will be a special blessing with a relic of the True Cross for those who attend. Please offer a flower if you would like to take part in the veneration of the Crucifix. The flowers will be used to adorn the Easter candle throughout the Easter season.

 

Holy Saturday

 

There will be no morning Mass.

The Easter Vigil will be at 7:00 p.m.

 

Easter Sunday

 

Solemn Mass will be at 9:00 a.m.

There will be no evening Mass.

 

Monday night Holy Hour for vocations

 

Every Monday night in the parish church (7.00pm - 8.00pm)
